The LATIN CROSS is the most widely used Christian symbol in the world today. The first and the last letters of the Greek alphabet are ALPHA and OMEGA. Jesus tells us in the Revelation that "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." The CIPHER has the first letters of our Lord's title, CHRIST, and HIS name JESUS, combine to form His "cipher". This design can appear alone or with another figure. The FISH is one of the earliest symbols used as a secret sign during the early Roman persecution of the Christians. On catacomb walls, FISH or IXOYC in Greek, pointed to places of worship and served as devotional art.

The Dove represents the Holy Spirit who appeared at the baptism of Jesus early in his ministry. The scallop shell symbolises the water used in baptism, with the three pearl drops representing that our baptism is to be in the name of the one Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
