"Glimmer of Hope" blind outreach meets on the fourth Saturday of each month. Our purpose is to care for those in the community who are blind or visually impaired by sharing the wisdom, love and resources of God that all may revel in His light. This Ministry is supported by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Goleta, by the Free Methodist Church of the Mesa, and by Emanuel Lutheran Church of Santa Barbara.

Volunteers from the three congregations provide a meal once a month, provide transportation to and from the social-fellowship event, and seek to foster a loving climate where the blind can meet together.

There are currently twenty-eight centers sponsored by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Blind Ministry across our country.
